MS Media Center

This week Book Club members went online to join the Book Club Blog Forum, and to make a review of a Middle School book for Destiny, the Library Catalogue. Students wrote passionate reviews for well loved books like: The Lightning Thief, Pendragon, Hatchet, and The City of Ember. These young reviewers gave many reasons why they enjoyed the book they chose to review. Why not open up the Middle School Media Center Catalogue and have a look yourself!

The MSMC Book Club is open to students in Grades 5 & 6 who love to read.

The  Book Club meets fortnightly after school on a Monday. 

Dates for the first half of the year are as follows:

• September 6.
• September 20.
• October 4.
• October 18 – PT Interviews – no meeting.
• November 1 – School Holidays – no meeting.
• November 15.
• November 29 – Public Holiday – no meeting.
• December 13.

We will get together and discuss great books, genres, and characters. Club members will have previews of new books. The group will meet fortnightly. Related activities include looking at books with movie tie-ins, reviewing books on Destiny, skype discussions with authors, book trivia quizzes and launching the annual Bearcat Book Awards.
